DRAFT — not yet verified against the shipping app. Every claim below must be checked against what Bout actually does and must match the App Privacy answers given in App Store Connect. Delete this banner once verified. Apple cross-checks this page against those declarations.
Summary
Bout is a word game that runs inside iMessage. It has no accounts, no login, and no server of mine that it talks to.
What is collected
Nothing is collected by me. Bout has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting service, and no backend that receives your data.
What stays on your device
Game state — the board, your turns, your score — is stored on your device and inside the iMessage conversation itself. It travels between players through Apple’s Messages infrastructure, which is end-to-end encrypted by Apple and which I have no access to or visibility into.
What Apple receives
If you download Bout from the App Store, Apple receives the information described in Apple’s own privacy policy. That relationship is between you and Apple; I receive only anonymous, aggregated sales and crash statistics through App Store Connect, which cannot identify you.
Children
Bout does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
